Course Summary

This course is designed to prepare international students aged 7 to 10 and above for the Admission Exercise for International Students (AEIS) administered by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore. The English component follows the Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) syllabus and progressively builds language skills to support AEIS English proficiency requirements. The Mathematics component is aligned with the Singapore MOE Primary 1 to 4 syllabi, and it aims to develop core mathematical concepts and enhance logical reasoning to solve AEIS-style problems. Students will gradually progress from foundational knowledge in Primary 2 to more complex analytical and problem-solving tasks by Primary 5.


Course Structure

Full-Time Duration: 6 Months

Delivery Mode: Face-to-Face

Instructional Method:  

    • Teacher-led classroom instruction
    • Guided drills and practice exercises
    • AEIS-format question practice
    • Topical reviews and feedback sessions

Assessment Method:

  • English: External Test by Cambridge Assessment English (CAE)
  • Mathematics: External Test by MOE and SEAB

Teacher-Student Ratio: 1:24

Graduation Requirements: Students must meet attendance requirements and complete both English and Mathematics components successfully.

This AEIS Primary preparation course is conducted in Singapore and follows a structured, classroom-based approach to support students’ academic readiness. The curriculum is aligned with Singapore MOE standards and designed to progressively build examination confidence.

What You Will Learn

English Language (CEQ-aligned progression)

  • Develop core skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking across all levels
  • Primary 2: Understand short texts, match simple information, describe pictures
  • Primary 3: Identify key ideas, write structured emails, express ideas from experience
  • Primary 4: Analyse longer texts, write picture-based descriptions, respond to everyday topics
  • Primary 5: Evaluate text purposes, write with descriptive detail, engage in confident spoken discourse

Mathematics (Singapore MOE-aligned progression)

  • Primary 2: Apply reasoning to time, money, length, and simple fractions
  • Primary 3: Interpret problems with multiple conditions using models
  • Primary 4: Solve multi-step questions using diagrams and visual strategies
  • Primary 5: Analyse problems with estimation and sequencing, justify solutions using formal methods
