Course Summary

This course is designed to prepare international students aged 12 and above for the Admission Exercise for International Students (AEIS) administered by Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE). Students are placed in Secondary 1, 2, or 3 levels based on their age and academic background. The curriculum aligns closely with MOE’s Primary 6, Secondary 1, and Secondary 2 syllabi respectively. It equips learners with the required proficiency in English and Mathematics to take the AEIS test confidently and to transition effectively into Singapore Government Schools


Course Structure

Full-Time Duration: 6 Months / 720 Hours

Delivery Mode: Face-to-Face

Instructional Method:  

    • Teacher-led classroom instruction
    • Guided drills and practice exercises
    • AEIS-format question practice
    • Topical reviews and feedback sessions

Assessment Method:

  • English and Mathematics : External test by Ministry of Education (MOE) and Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB)

Teacher-Student Ratio: 1:24

Graduation Requirements: Students must meet attendance requirements and complete both English and Mathematics components successfully.

What You Will Learn

English Language (CEQ-aligned progression)

  • Secondary 1: Grammar, vocabulary, composition structure, and comprehension. Students learn to write narrative or opinion-based texts and handle cloze and inference questions
  • Secondary 2: Sentence connectors, word forms, and essay development. Students interpret tone and intent in factual and descriptive texts
  • Secondary 3: Argumentative writing, advanced grammar cloze, and reading for implied meaning in persuasive texts

 

Mathematics (Singapore MOE-aligned progression)

  • Secondary 1: Focus on fractions, percentages, ratios, and simple algebra. Skills in speed, measurement, and data handling are reinforced
  • Secondary 2: Topics include algebraic expressions, indices, linear equations, coordinate geometry, and number patterns
  • Secondary 3: Advanced content such as inequalities, quadratic equations, trigonometry, congruence, and similarity. Emphasis on applying concepts in real-world contexts
