Course Summary

This course is a rigorously structured programme designed to build a strong and systematic understanding of the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level curriculum for secondary-level learners. Admission Criteria

English Requirements: 

  • At-least IELTS 4.5
  • Or a minimum score of 50 in the United Ceres College English Placement Test
  • Or a minimum score of 50 in English Language/ English Literature in an education system where the medium of instruction is English

Academic Requirements: 

  • At least a Secondary 2 (Singapore) or Grade 8 education (other countries)

What You Will Learn

1. English Language
By the end of this preparatory course, the student will be able to apply critical reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills to analyze texts, construct coherent arguments, and communicate effectively in both spoken and written English in alignment with the requirements of the GCE ‘O’ Level English Language examination.

2. Mother Tongue (Mandarin)
By the end of this preparatory course, the student will be able to demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in the Mother Tongue language, applying appropriate vocabulary, grammar, and cultural context to respond accurately and fluently to examination tasks for the GCE ‘O’ Level Mother Tongue examination.

3. Mathematics
By the end of this preparatory course, the student will be able to apply core mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and probability, to solve structured and problem-solving questions with accuracy and confidence, in alignment with the requirements of the GCE ‘O’ Level Mathematics examination.

4. Combined Humanities (Social Studies & Geography)
By the end of this preparatory course, the student will be able to analyze and evaluate humanities-based concepts, and construct evidence-based arguments that demonstrate critical thinking and contextual understanding, in accordance with the requirements of the GCE ‘O’ Level Combined Humanities examination.

5. Additional Mathematics
By the end of this preparatory course, the student will be able to apply advanced mathematical concepts, including algebraic techniques, calculus, trigonometry, and coordinate geometry, to model and solve higher-order problems, demonstrating accuracy and logical reasoning as required for the GCE ‘O’ Level Additional Mathematics examination.

6. Physics
By the end of this preparatory course, the student will be able to apply knowledge of physical principles, mathematical relationships, and experimental skills to explain phenomena, solve quantitative and qualitative problems, and evaluate scientific information in alignment with the requirements of the GCE ‘O’ Level Physics examination.

7. Chemistry
By the end of this preparatory course, the student will be able to apply knowledge of chemical formulae, molecular structure, and experimental skills to explain phenomena, solve quantitative and qualitative problems, and evaluate scientific information in alignment with the requirements of the GCE ‘O’ Level Chemistry examination.
